Microcement Floors — Why So Many People Are Choosing Them

A thin seamless coating over your existing floor. No jackhammers, no skips full of rubble. In most cases done in a few days.

What to Know Before Committing

Needs sealing and re-sealing every few years. Not ideal if you have significant floor level differences between rooms. Colour matching across repairs can be tricky — we will be honest with you about this.

The Finish Options

Wide colour range — from warm sand and grey beige to darker slate tones. Two finish types: matte (closer to raw concrete) and polished (slightly reflective, warmer feel). Connects interior to exterior when used with compatible outdoor finishes.

Why People Choose It

Makes small rooms feel bigger — no grout lines to break up the eye. Can be applied over existing tiles in most cases. Durable, easy to clean, works with underfloor heating.

Small Salons and Open-Plan Living — Getting the Most Out of the Space

Many apartments on the Costa del Sol have 25 to 35 square metres of living space. The challenge is making it feel open and comfortable without knocking walls down.

Light, Colour and Storage

Warm white or soft linen walls with natural wood or rattan furniture hits the right balance. Ceiling-height built-in storage gives the same capacity with far less visual noise.

Lighting Layers

Most Spanish homes have a single ceiling fitting per room. A floor lamp, a pendant over the dining table, and wall lighting transforms how the space feels in the evening. We route the cables and install the fittings as part of the renovation.

Continuous Flooring

Same material and colour from living area through to terrace creates a visual connection that makes both spaces feel larger. One of the most effective changes you can make.

Nordic Meets Mediterranean — What That Actually Looks Like

Warm neutral tones, natural materials, restrained decoration. The Mediterranean character comes through in textures — the Nordic side brings the quality of light.

Natural Materials

Wood, linen, rattan, unglazed ceramic — used sparingly, not everywhere at once. Large windows kept clear, light curtains if any.

Mediterranean Texture

Rough stone, terracotta, handmade tiles as an accent. One or two plants, one good lamp, one piece of art. Not more.

Warm Neutral Tones

Sand, warm white and linen on walls and floors — not stark white or cold grey. Simple furniture with clean lines, nothing overly decorative.

How It Works

We come and see the space, talk through what you want to change, and give you a written quote. Most living room renovations take one to two weeks. We work across Malaga, Marbella, Fuengirola and the Costa del Sol.
